AQUA OIL FINGER PAINTING ON CANVAS by Debbie Buckhouse
This painting is a finger painting created in aqua oils. It is painted completely from my imagination and in my mind it is a close up from my original Tree of Life painting. I love looking at a blank canvas and imagining a painting without using anything as a reference. This painting is amazing to see in person. The photograph is good but the painting changes throughout the day with the lighting and as the sun comes in and out of the room. There is a lot of relief because of the thickness of the paint which makes the light dance on the colors adding beautiful shadows and dimension.
I named the painting “In Your Dreams” for a few reasons. One is that I dream paintings and when I put them on canvas some of my soul is left there.
“In Your Dreams” was created with aqua oils on canvas on 1.5-inch-thick canvas and the piece arrives in a simple black frame.
